Southbury – William S. Englehardt, 73, a life-long resident of Southbury died Thursday, October 22, in Waterbury Hospital after a sudden illness. He was the loving husband of Dianne (Beaulieu) Englehardt.
Bill was born November 7, 1946 in Waterbury, a son of the late Emma (Maston) and Walter Englehardt Sr.
He worked for St. Pierre Oil for many years. Bill liked playing cards, going to car shows and gardening. He also enjoyed a variety of sports, including watching football and horse racing. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be fondly remembered by them.
Besides his devoted wife, he leaves two loving daughters, Kim Khare and her husband, Matt, of North Carolina and Susanne Englehardt of Connecticut; two brothers, Louis and Walter Jr., both of Vermont; and 2 granddaughters, Natalie and Lisa Khare. He was predeceased by his brother Tom.
