Thomas Picheco Tribute

BEACON FALLS - Thomas N. Picheco, 69, of Beacon Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  He was the loving husband of 41 years to Mickie (Kruszynski) Picheco.

Tom was born in Bridgeport on December 6, 1951, to the late Mario and Blanche Picheco.  He grew up in Trumbull, but later relocated to Oxford where he and Mickie would start their family together.  Tom worked as a union sheet metal worker with Local 38 for many years.  He spent his down time fishing and hunting, as well as beating everyone in his community at playing pool.  But nothing would compare to the time he spent with his family.  He loved his family unconditionally, and would support them through whatever it was they were going through.  His greatest achievement was becoming "Hoppa" to his two grandchildren, whom he adored.

Tom will be sorely missed by his wife Mickie, and their three children:  Tom (Maureen) Picheco, Dennis Picheco, and Sarah (Brian) Armstrong; as well as his two grandchildren: Ryan and Grace.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South in Southbury.  There will be a prayer service held at the funeral home at 12:30 PM.  Interment will be private.  Since Tom had such a huge heart, filled with so much love for his family, memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, are asked to be directed to the American Heart Association at www.Heart.org.
