Thomas J Nowicki, 79, of Roxbury, CT, passed away on November 13, 2021. He has been the love of Diane Walmer-Nowicki's life for over 34 years.
Tom was born on May 8, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Joseph and Wanda (Hmarzewski) Nowicki.
Tom graduated from Saint Peter's Preparatory School and Saint Peter's University in Jersey City with a degree in physics. He worked in the field of laser optics and was employed by Isomet and Inrad in New Jersey and by Conoptics in Danbury, CT.
His interests ranged from astronomy to aviation to aerospace engineering. He had an insatiable curiosity to discover how things work.
Later in life Tom took up the hobby of woodworking. His other passion was traveling the world with Diane, of which they shared many fond memories.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Joseph Nowicki. Tom is survived by his wife Diane and his mother-in-law, Viola Walmer of Elizabethtown, PA.
Diane would like to thank Tom's many friends and the community of Roxbury for their extraordinary caring and support.
Services for Thomas will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Roxbury Congregational Church, 24 Church St., Roxbury, CT. Burial will immediately follow at Great Oak Cemetery.
