Teresa Domareck enjoyed the gift of life for 101 years. She was born October 16, 1921 in a farmhouse in Shelton, CT, the youngest of a large family, and passed peacefully on to Heaven on November 26, 2022 in Southbury, CT with her loving, caring family beside her.
She was predeceased by her husband Russell M. who she met through their mutual employment and church community. They traveled with their employer to the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area shortly after their marriage living there for a few years. She brought back a little bit of Texas culture with her.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her five children, Russell J., Elaine (predeceased), Cynthia, James, and John. She was a loving grandmother to Melissa, Scott, Michelle, and Tina, and a loving great-grandmother to Ellie, Mckayla, and Nicholas. She always loved being with her family.
She was a very special treasure and friend to us all. We thank God for the blessing of her long life and special caring love. She carried a unique kind of joy and fun with her which was a delight to all. She was both strong and gentle. We will love her forever.
She leaves a wonderful legacy to the generations that follow her of being a devoted Christian woman who loved Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Although she had a quiet faith, it was a very strong faith in God. She enjoyed going to church with her family, watching Christian TV, listening to Christian music, and reading Bible stories and scriptures. She prayed for her family every night. Her great strength and endurance, and her helping ways were an example for us all.
Teresa is now with Jesus, and with her large family of loved ones and friends who have gone on before to Heaven, and surely there is now a celebration in Heaven as they looked forward to her arrival.
