Susan C. Cooper, 62, passed away on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 in the comfort of her home at Maplewood at Stony Hill in Bethel, CT.
She was born in New York, on August 31st, 1956 to the late Albert and Virginia Prescott. As a young adult, she travelled the world, studying at universities such as La Sorbonne in Paris and eventually earned her degree in Microbiology from the University of Connecticut.
She had an impressive career as a certified microbiologist, working for companies such as Heublein Sprits and Procter & Gamble, where she met her late husband, Russel H. Cooper. The two were married for 30 years before his passing in 2016.
In her spare time, she enjoyed celebrating life by traveling the world, eating her favorite foods, drinking the best vintages of wine, collecting art, and spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves behind her two beloved children, Mary and Scott Cooper. She was a lively, free spirited and passionate woman who will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at the Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. South in Southbury on Friday, April 12th from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Roxbury Congregational Church, 24 Church Street in Roxbury on Saturday, April 13th at 11 AM.
