Shaye (Cody) Sheehan

SOUTHBURY - Shaye C. Sheehan, 69, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was the loving wife of Mark Sheehan for thirty-six years.

Shaye was born on April 12, 1953 in Ansonia, CT to the late Richard and Faye (Childs) Cody.

Shaye was a lifelong advocate for individuals with specials needs. She worked as a Preschool Teacher and Principal at Ripton School in Shelton, CT and became the Supervisor of Student Services for Cheshire Public Schools. Shaye always said it was her passion to work with students with special needs, and her colleagues described her as a student's greatest advocate. 

Shaye is survived by her husband Mark Sheehan, daughter Alaina Boyd, son-in-law, Donnie Boyd, grandson Liam Boyd, son James Sheehan, sisters Colleen Marsh and Kathleen Cody, and brother Richard Cody. She is predeceased by her sister, Debra Hawks. Shaye is additionally survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly. 

Shaye's family will receive visitors on Friday, April 22, 2022 in the Daily Chapel of Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury, CT 06488, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 8:30 AM on April 23, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be at New North Cemetery in Woodbury.
