Paul A. Cervini

SOUTHBURY - Paul A. Cervini, 92, of Southbury, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of Lydia (Santos) Cervini for almost 60 years.

Paul was born in Harlem, NY on November 15, 1929, to the late Joseph G. and Mary (Casella) Cervini.  After graduating high school, Paul joined the United States Army.  Stationed in Germany, Paul served his nation during the Korean War from 1951-1953.  Once he came home, he went to college and met the love of his life, Lydia.  They raised their family in the Long Island area, and moved to Heritage Village 27 years ago.  Paul was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Seaford, LI, he loved to golf, and most importantly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife Lydia, Paul leaves behind his 3 children: James (Sandra) Cervini, Paula (Gregory) Flynn, and Robert (Anna) Cervini; 6 grandchildren: Katelyn Cervini, Thomas Flynn, Isabella Cervini, Emily Cervini, Matthew Cervini, and Nicholas Cervini; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Paul is predeceased by 4 siblings: Andrew Cervini, John Cervini, Joseph Cervini, and Margaret Blum.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, September 12, 2022 in the daily chapel of Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South in Southbury.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 also at Sacred Heart Church.  Interment with military honors will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Southbury.  For directions, or to leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.CarpinoCares.com.
