Patricia A. Flanagan

SOUTHBURY - On Sunday, May 26th 2019, Patricia Ann Flanagan, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and cousin to too many to count, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Pat was born in Queens, NY on July 2nd, 1939. Having lost her father as a teenager, she quickly learned the importance of family. She loved to tell stories of her childhood friends and her life was filled with so many blessings. She and her loving husband Edward of 56 years moved from Astoria, NY to Yorktown Heights, NY where they spent nearly 40 years raising their family before moving to Southbury, CT to be closer to their children and grandchildren as she cherished family time together.

Pat was the most selfless and loving person you could ever meet. Always warm and welcoming with a big smile, she had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh that you just couldn’t help wanting to be around. She was faced with a great deal of health challenges in the last decade of her life and continuously showed her strength and determination.

Pat is survived by her devoted husband Edward, three children Greg(Holly), Marc(Jennifer), and Jill(Fred) Wiebke; ten grandchildren Abby, Emily, Caity, Kelly, Colin, Brendan, Kyle, Evan, Riley, and Jacob; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Marie & Peter McCabe, and loving sister Mary Jane(William).

A wake will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the daily chapel at 910 Main Street, Southbury, CT 06488 on Thursday May 30th from 3:00-7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 31st at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in White Plains, NY.
