SOUTHBURY - Lucien Fortier, 26, of Southbury, CT, passed away on October 29, 2021. Lucien was born on July 18, 1995 in Waterbury, CT to Paul Fortier and Connie Holt and grew up in Southbury, CT.
Lucien graduated from Pomperaug High School, Southbury CT in 2014, where he excelled in academics and was an intricate part of the basketball team. He was one of the top players in the All South-West Conference in 2014. He received an academic scholarship to Western New England University where he played basketball his freshman year. A charismatic, sensitive, and lovable man has been taken from us too early. Lucien loved his big raucous and loving family, his dog Toby, and his online friends. He had a passion for dogs, history, sports, the outdoors and hiking.
Lucien is survived by his father, Paul Fortier, mother, Connie Holt, sister Julia Einhorn, brother Jacques Fortier, and his grandmother, Marjorie Holt. In addition, Lucien is survived by his brother-in-law, Justin Einhorn and nephews, Luke and Leo Einhorn.
A Celebration of Life for Lucien will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:30am at Edmond Town Hall, at 45 Main Street, Newtown CT, 06470.
