SOUTHBURY - Lorraine Pulnik, 92, of Southbury, passed away on November 6, 2022, at River Glen Healthcare Center. She was the loving wife of Edward Pulnik for 70 years.
Lorraine was born on September 23, 1930 in Bristol, CT to the late Angelo and Florence (Holt) Spinelli.
Lorraine graduated from Crosby High School in 1948. Lorraine was a loving home maker and worked in retail for a number of years.Lorraine was a realist, she was very strong hearted and didn't want anyone to fret or fuss. Lorraine loved her summer vacations in Old Orchard, Maine, where she went as a young girl up until her late 80s.
She was creative with a great eye for detail. She enjoyed rug hooking, crochet and grew beautiful vegetables and flowers at both her homes in Waterbury and her garden at Heritage Village. She was an accomplished cook and baker. Lorraine made exquisite Italian and Polish delicacies that were full of love and transported you to another place.
Lorraine joined the Brush and Pencil Club while living at Heritage Village and was a member for over 15 years. She became a talented artist, in colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic. From still life art to abstracts to nature scenes, there was nothing she couldn't draw or paint.
Lorraine is survived by her husband Edward, her son Stanley Pulnik, daughter-in-law Helene Pulnik, granddaughters Jeannette Pulnik and Kathryn Pulnik, her sister Angela Theriault and brother-in-law Norbert Theriault. She is predeceased by her sister Betty Reinhard and brother Lewis Spinelli.
There will be a visitation hour at Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury, located on 750 Main St S, Southbury, CT 06488, on Monday, November 14 from 10:00 - 10:45 AM . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South in Southbury. A private burial will take place immediately after Mass.
