Kenneth L. Robinson

WOODBURY - Kenneth Robinson, 89, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022 at the Cheshire House in Waterbury surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan Robinson. 

Kenneth was born in Waterbury on December 2, 1932, the son of the late Lewis and Ascha Robinson. 

He served honorably in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 where he learned his professional career of barbering. Upon returning home he worked for Harold Somerset before opening his own barber shop in Woodbury in 1958. He also worked in his younger years delivering milk for Parmelle Brothers, as well as other assorted job. Kenneth was a member of the King Solomon's Masonic Lodge #7 of Woodbury.

He met his wife, Joan, from a mutual friend and they got married in 1956. Kenneth leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Cheryl Marquis and his son, Kevin Robinson and his wife Shirley all from Woodbury. He also leaves behind his grandsons Mathew Marquis and Kyle Robinson, and two great-grandchildren Travis and Lori, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Besides his wife and parents, Kenneth was predeceased by his brother Richard Robinson. His family would like to thank his caregivers Linnea Marquis and Janice Rehkamp, as well as all of the staff at the Cheshire House for their compassionate care and support.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. South in Southbury.  A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Carpino Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New North Cemetery in Woodbury. Memorial contributions in Kenneth's name are asked to be forwarded to either the Woodbury Ambulance Association, P.O.
