Julienne Russo

WOLCOTT - Julienne Russo, 86, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Salvatore Russo.

Julie was born on July 23, 1936 in Fort Kent, ME to the late Onezine and Yvonne (Dufour) Gorneault. 

Julie worked as a dietary aide for the town of Wolcott for 25 years. She was known for her delicious homemade pizza's, soup's and cookies. 

Julie loved spending time with her family. She was also very passionate about cooking, which always brought family and friends together around the dinner table - nothing made her happier. 

Julie is survived by her sons Michael Russo and his wife Cathy, Mark Russo and his girlfriend Patty Paquette, and Joseph Russo and his wife Natalie; granddaughters, Amber Fitzpatrick and her husband Tom, Andrea Membrino and her husband Tony, and Danielle Russo. She also leaves behind great-grandsons Peyton, Bryce and Owen and great-granddaughters Myla, Alessia and Aria. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, April 11 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Road in Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Pius Church in Wolcott. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
