Josephine Corrao

SOUTHBURY – Josephine Corrao of Southbury passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on April 27, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Ludwig Corrao.

Josephine was born in Queens, NY, on June 29, 1929 of the late Alexander and Anna Boccio. She will be remembered mainly for being a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, as well as friend and neighbor.

Josephine will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Laura (Robert) Pizone and Patricia (James) Yaffe; sons: Frank (JoAnn) Corrao and Alexander (Sharon) Corrao. She will also be tenderly remembered by her grandchildren: Elizabeth (Matthew) Tremper, Christine (Ronald) Talarico, Daniel Yaffe, Michael (Megan) Corrao, Anthony Corrao, Nicole Corrao, and Anna Corrao; and great-grandchildren: Violet Tremper, Scarlett Corrao, Matthew Tremper, and Mia Talarico.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in memory of Josephine at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South in Southbury, CT. Interment will immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton CT. Memorial donations in Josephine’s name may be made to Sacred Heart Church, Southbury, CT.
