Joseph Cavallo

SOUTHBURY - Joseph J. Cavallo, 97, passed away on June 2, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Delorse (Deckelnick) Cavallo.

Joseph was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 12, 1922, to the late Michele and Mauretta Cavallo. He graduated from high school in New York City and later took evening courses in fine art at the Art Students League. He also studied advertising design at the School of Visual Arts, drew adventure comics before settling on an advertising career as an Art Director. Joseph retired from BBDO Advertising Agency as Vice President Creative Director. In his retirement, he began teaching art in Monticello to seniors, had one-man shows at Delaware Arts Alliance in Narrowsburg, NY, and also taught art at Heritage Village where he loved to perform and sing.

Joseph will be missed by his son: Michael (Diane) Cavallo; daughter: Barbara (Gary) Coe; and his grandson: Travis Coe.
