SOUTHBURY - Joseph Barcia, 88, departed this life on February 24, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ann Barcia for 66 years. Joseph was born in New York, NY on June 25, 1930 to the late Joseph and Mary (Vaccaro) Barcia.

Joseph was a veteran of the US Navy having served aboard the USS Roosevelt. He was a graphic artist who worked for Citi Bank prior to retirement. He was a member of the Italian Club, had served as treasurer of Condo 13, was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Heritage Village Mens Club. He loved hunting, fishing, golf, poker and casino. In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his sons: Joseph and Vincent (Cathy); six grandchildren: Daina (Matt), Anthony (Dayna), Vinny, Danny, Charles, and Christina; and three great grandchildren: Cambree, Matthew and Peter; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Peter; brother: Sal; and sisters: Theresa and Santa.

A Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx NY. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, 26th of February, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church. The Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
