SOUTHBURY - James Broderick, 86, departed this life on October 27, 2022 at peacefully at his Heritage Village home. His was the beloved husband of Maria (DeFatima) Broderick.

James was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 17, 1936 to the late James and Edna (Kelsey) Broderick.

He served honorably in the United States Air Force, earned his Masters Degree, and enjoyed a successful career as an engineer in the energy industry.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his children: Mary Vanmeer and her husband James, James Joseph Broderick, Diane Dellen and Virginia Broderick; his grandchildren: Chris, Rebecca, Jim, Stephanie, Joseph, Abigail, Jennifer and Meghan; and his great grandchildren: Declan and Camden.
