SOUTHBURY - Elinor West died peacefully on February 15 at her home in Southbury after a long illness. As a lifelong caregiver and an educator, her warmth and compassion changed the lives of so many. She was a longtime staff member of the Bethlehem Public Library and Bantam Cinema, where she loved to greet her friends and patrons, and to chat about the news of the world. Elinor is survived by her sons; Jason West, his wife Allison, and their children Olivia and Jack; Alexander West, his wife Jennifer, and their children Jackson, Connor and Benjamin. She is also survived by her sister Mary Titus, of Glastonbury, and nieces Julie, Diana, and Caroline. A memorial service will be held at First Church in Bethlehem on Sunday, February 20th at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elinor may be made in support of Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or Soroptimist International of the Americas Global Dream Programs.
