Tribute

PLYMOUTH - Elaine Rose (Weaving) Norris passed away after a brief and sudden illness on September 20, 2022, surrounded by her four children and loving husband. She moved onward to heaven alongside her mother, Genevieve Weaving, who passed that very same morning.

Born in Southbury, CT in 1962, Elaine was a free-spirited and loving mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. The beloved daughter of James Phillip Weaving, Sr. and Genevieve Weaving, she is survived by her devoted husband, Sigurd Norris, as well as her four children, Rose Sorrell (Tom), Carl Norris, James Norris, and David Norris. She grew up as a member of Sacred Heart Church.

As a nature enthusiast, Elaine was a gentle soul and an avid artist and gardener, and a lover of animals and hobbits. She taught at the Good Shepherd Montessori School and loved her family fiercely, and will be greatly missed by her husband, children, siblings, and entire family.

To honor both Elaine and Genevieve, the family is hosting a visitation from 2:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. S., Southbury, CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. S., Southbury, CT.
