Dorothy Foliano

Dorothy Foliano, age 96, of Murrells Inlet, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at St. Gabriel of Murrells Inlet.

Born in New York City, NY, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Marie and John Marini. She loved decorating but found her true passion in shopping, as well as her family and friends.  She also enjoyed cooking and her rice pudding and crumb cake were her specialties. Dorothy loved her job in the Ardsley, NY school system working as the administrator to the guidance counselor. She was a very giving person to all those in her life, always helping those around her.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband Jasper Foliano; son, John Foliano; sister, Evelyn Mazzie; and daughter in law, Carmel Foliano.

Survivors include her son, Jay Foliano, Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Ryan Foliano; Kristin Foliano;  Lauren Foliano.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southbury, CT on Wednesday, October 27 at 10 AM, her home town for over (25) years.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dorothy’s name to the Hospice of your choice.
