Dominic Rutigliano Tribute

SOUTHBURY - Dominic "Pete" Rutigliano, age 95, passed away on December 13, 2020. "Pete" was born in MT Kisco, NY to Peter Rutigliano and Nancy Castano Rutigliano. Dominic married Nancy Cogan on February 17, 1962.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 year, Nancy Rutigliano. He is survived by his children, Mary Anne Corcoran, Peter Rutigliano and wife Debbie Rutigliano, Mark Rutigliano and his husband Kelsey Halbert, grandchildren Nicole Rutigliano, Billy Corcoran, Dylan Rutigliano and Brady Corcoran. "Pete" loved his siblings, Angie and her husband John Klotsko, Lou Rutigliano (deceased) and Annie Pierce.

"Pete" served in the Navy during WWII, including several missions to Murmansk, Russia and the South Pacific, he was very proud of his country. "Pete" was also active in several service organizations, including the Exchange Club, the DAV, and the Catholic War Vets. "Pete" enjoyed going to Rhode Island every summer with the family. "Pete" ran the Golf Exchange in Heritage Village for many years, raising money for the Heritage Village Ambulance Association. "Pete" enjoyed activities, he played golf into his 80s, he played Bocce into his early 90s and enjoyed playing pool with his friends at Pomperaug Woods.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, 18th of December, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Carpino Funeral Home. Services for “Pete” Rutigliano will be held on Friday, December 18 th at 11am with very limited attendance due to COVID 19. Following the service a link will be made available for remote viewing. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Danbury, Connecticut.
