Dolores C. Hatfield 1931-2020 "Dolly" was a "True Southburian" being born and raised on a farm in the Fish Rock section of town with 5 other sisters. She worked various jobs throughout her life starting in the banking industry and then many local businesses including the Southbury Food Center, Casper's Sprit Shop and Gainfield Farms Golf Course. She was an avid golfer in her later years and won many doubles championships in the Women's League at Gainfield Farms. Early on in her life her passion was Duckpin bowling where she was part of the Women's Professional Bowling Tour traveling up and down the East coast. She along with her adoring husband LeRoy until he passed in 2011 spent most of her life (50 years) caring for and being the advocate for her son Michael that was wounded in Vietnam in 1969. She leaves behind her sons Michael and Edward (his fiancee Lynn) her daughter Denise, son-in-law Brian and the love of her life granddaughter Eva. As well as two sisters Joan Gillette and Theresa Wilcox. Along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband LeRoy as well as her sisters Esther, Margie and Karen. The family would like to thank all that have been a part of her life and have reached out to us in this difficult time. A graveside service was held on December 16, 2020 at Pine Hill Cemetery.
