SOUTHBURY - Conor T. Hannigan, 27, departed this life on September 24, 2023 in Pennsylvania following a hard fought and courageous battle against the struggles of addiction. Conor was born in Stamford, CT on April 22, 1996 to John Hannigan and Lisa Cortina.
Conor grew up in Southbury, CT. where he went to Region 15 schools and graduated from Pomperaug High School in 2014.
A happy child who loved life, Conor much enjoyed hiking in the woods, and fishing with his Dad and brother, Kieran. Conor was a four-year member of the Pomperaug Boys Swim
Team where he achieved All County and All State recognition. Conor pursued his higher education at Springfield College which he attended for two years.
Conor's most favorite place and times were the summers spent on Cape Cod where he spent hours at Marconi beach body surfing and catching frogs at Schoolhouse Pond!
Conor's love of all animals led him to work as a veterinary assistant in Maryland.
The family wishes to thank Conor's devoted counselor, David Johnson, for his unwavering support of Conor and his family.
Conor's family and friends deeply miss him and will never forget his outgoing personality, his generous heart and his beautiful smile.
In addition to his parents, Conor is survived by his loving brothers Kieran and Declan Hannigan, his half-brother Johnny Hannigan and half-sister Jenny Hannigan, his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. And his girlfriend, Emily Llorens.
The family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, September 29th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury.
