SOUTHBURY - Cathryn (Katie) Fullen Fanti, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2021, after a long illness with breast cancer. She was the loving wife of R. Timothy Fanti.
Katie was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late William and Katherine (Dawley) Fullen, and leaves a legacy of friendship, kindness and helpfulness especially fulfilled through community involvement with the PTA and Girl Scouts in the early years, and later with the Guiding Eyes for the Blind and the Women's Club of Danbury; she embodied a loving spirit that added greatly to the human experience.
In addition to her husband, Katie will be cherished in the memories of: her older daughter, Kristen Marsh, and her husband, Steven, and their daughters, Riley and Ashley; her younger daughter, Kathryn; her siblings, Sandra (and husband Ted), Peter (and wife Carole), Michael (and wife Terry) and their extended families; her sister in law, Jean, whose husband, Katie's brother, Bill, was predeceased; and, an array of friends and acquaintances who appreciated her welcoming nature and warm smile.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Southbury, CT. Burial will be private at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. To leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.CarpinoCares.com.
