ROXBURY - Carmine Civale Jr. of Roxbury, CT died August 12, 2022. He is survived by his wife Marion (McGauhy) Civale, son Carmine Civale III and cousins Nancy, Kristian and Daniel Andersen.

Carmine was born in Peekskill, NY but spent most of his life and working career in Connecticut. After receiving his electrical engineering degree from NY Tech, he went to work for Norden Systems in January of 1967. He spent his entire career working in aerospace.

Carmine worked for Norden before working at Hamilton Standard in Farmington, CT. He returned to work for Norden in 1982, at their Melville, NY facility and then returned to Norden in Norwalk in 1985, where he remained until he retired in 2011 as quality assurance manager. The programs Carmine worked on include A6-E, F-111. Delta Initial Guidance, Space Shuttle Inertial Upper Stage and J-Stars.

Carmine enjoyed spending time in Bridgton, Maine as well as fishing on his boat on Long Island Sound. He was a former member of Pequonnock Yacht Club. In retirement, in addition to spending summers in Bridgton, Carmine and his wife Marion took numerous road trips around the country.
