Bruce Karl

SOUTHBURY - Bruce Karl, 83, passed away on December 7, 2021, in Southbury, CT. He was the loving Husband of Judith Karl for 63 years. Bruce was born on April 1, 1938 in Darien, CT to the late Emil and Marion Karl. He graduated from Darien High School in 1956.

Bruce started his career as a mechanical engineer at Laminated Shim in Stamford, CT and went on to work for Alinabal, Inc. in Milford, CT and retired from Beta Shim in Shelton, CT.
Bruce was a proud member of the Noroton Heights Volunteer Fire Department. He loved boating and was a member of the Darien Boat Club. He was passionate about gardening.
Bruce is survived by his wife Judith; his daughter Kim Mihaleas and her husband, Perry, of Stamford; his daughter Lisa Fisher and her husband John, of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Jessica Krompinger, Brian Fisher, Matthew Mihaleas, Rachel Mihaleas; his great granddaughter, Willow Krompinger; many nieces and nephews; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Besides his parents, Bruce is predeceased by his brother, David Karl.

A memorial service for Bruce will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at the Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. South in Southbury, CT.
