Ann Ineson Tribute

Bridgton, Maine - Ann Ineson, 84, of Southbury, CT and Bridgton, ME, passed away peacefully on July 8th, following a sudden medical event, with her loving family members by her side.

Ann was born on April 17, 1937, in Queens, NY. She grew up in Kew Gardens with her brother Bill and later moved to Orange, CT with her family where she attended high school and college. Ann met her husband Don through a friendship with Ann's brother. Ann and Don married and bought a house in Southbury, CT, where they raised their two sons, John and David and shared over fifty years of memories. Ann taught full-time at the Pomperaug Elementary School for over forty years while raising a family. Ann earned her master's degree in education from Southern Connecticut State University, while continuing to work full-time.

When Ann and Don were not working, they loved traveling together, with Switzerland holding a special place in their hearts. After Ann & Don's retirement, they relocated to Bridgton in 2008, and have enjoyed their Maine life together, with family, friends and their orange tabby cats. Ann and Don shared many happy miles of motorcycle riding in Connecticut and Maine. Ann was very active in the Bridgton community, continuing to substitute teach at the Stevens Brook Elementary School, and volunteering with the Bridgton Hospital Guild and at the Guild Thrift Store.

Ann was an avid and life-long knitter and quilter and created many warm and welcome gifts for friends, family, and the community. Her abundant enthusiasm and energy were contagious to all who met her, either for the first time or for those who knew her well.

Ann is predeceased by her husband Don and is survived by her sons John and David, daughter-in-law, three grandchildren and a great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bridgton Hospital https://www.cmhc.org/bridgton-hospital/ or Harvest Hills Animal Shelter https://harvesthills.org/.

A private family burial service is planned at Evergreen Cemetery in Watertown, CT. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes, 8 Elm St., Bridgton, ME and Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street, Southbury, CT.
