Tribute

SOUTHBURY - Late last week, Adrienne Mansour, 34, was tapped on the shoulder to join her departed friends and family.  Adrienne was born in Binghamton, NY and grew up in Southbury, attending Region 15 Schools, and graduating from Pomperaug High School in 2006.  She attended Western Connecticut State University graduating with a B.S. in Social Work.  She devoted the past 13 years of her life to a career of helping others, working with NAFI in Thomaston, and ultimately moving to the State of Connecticut holding positions in the Departments of Social Services, Children and Family, and most recently as a Case Manager in Developmental Services.

Adrienne loved sports, playing Lacrosse for Pomperaug High and WCSU.  She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, who affectionately called her “Tia”.  Adrienne was a die-hard NY Mets fan, usually attending “opening day” festivities at Shea and Citifield.  She also was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and an avid shopper.  While she could destroy a kitchen in 2.5 seconds, she had the innate ability to have a holiday kitchen cleaned up before anyone finished eating. Although timeliness was a challenge for Adrienne, you could always count on her to show up before the event finished.  Adrienne had a special place in her heart for her many friends and co-workers, always enjoying their company and bringing a smile to their face.

Adrienne leaves behind her parents Mark and Louise Mansour, her sister Danielle (Ignacio Vega), her brother Mark Jr. (Laura Jo) and younger brother Brian (Samantha).  She is also survived by her grandmother Marcell Mansour, her nieces and nephews Lorehna, Josephine, Anthony and Ignacio, many uncles, aunts, and cousins, as well as her boyfriend Anthony Tucker.

Family and friends may visit Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St S, Southbury, CT on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Daily Chapel.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 am.  Burial will immediately follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Adrienne’s name to the Connecticut Special Olympics.  For directions, or to leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.CarpinoCares.com.
