Teresa Rago

SOUTHBURY - Teresa Catherine Rago, 86, departed this life on December 2, 2019 at River Glen Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Rago for 55 years. Teresa was born in Yonkers, NY on January 20, 1933 to the late James and Louise O'Brien.

Teresa owned and operated the Southbury Answering Service for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, going out to dinner, playing bingo, cross stitching, and jigsaw puzzles.  She also dedicated much of her life to raising seven children and adoring countless grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Teresa is survived by her six daughters and son; Melissa (Rago) Burrus and her husband Scott; Terri-Ann (Rago) Tilquist; Pamela Holt and her husband David; Jesse Zink; Kathleen Brages and her husband David; Lou-Ann Feeney and her husband Brian; and Frances Zink.

Teresa is also survived by her brother James O’Brien and his wife Lorraine of Shenorock, NY.  She was predeceased by her sister Marilyn Petrillo of Yonkers, NY. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South in Southbury.
