Lynne M. Flanders

OXFORD - Lynne Flanders, 67, departed this life, surrounded by friends, on April 15, 2019 at Smilow Hospital, New Haven, CT. Lynne was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 6, 1951 to the late Ray and Bea (Steeves) Flanders. She graduated from Wyckham Rise School in 1969 and studied at Wells College in Aurora, NY.

Lynne had a multitude of careers, but dancing and country music were her passion. Lynne choreographed many line dances, and loved her students. Lynne was a beautiful soul who touched everyone whom she met. She was a courageous warrior throughout her three year battle with cancer.

Lynne had a love for nature, classic cars, concerts, plays, and cruises. Lynne's love, laughter, smile, kindness, generosity, and especially her friendship will be missed by all. She is survived by Aunts, Uncles, many cousins, and beloved friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Christ Church Quaker Farms, Oxford CT at 5:00 pm.
