Patricia Kenny Coulter

Patricia Kenny Coulter, 90, departed this life on November 26, 2020, in Southbury, CT. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Coulter. Pat was born in New York, NY on June 25, 1930, to the late Thomas and Rose Kenny. She was the last surviving sibling of Walter Kenny, Timothy Kenny, Rosemarie Kenny Weber, and Peter Kenny.

Pat graduated from Good Counsel Academy in White Plains, NY. She worked as an Executive Assistant for Allstate Insurance in Manhattan for many years, where she met her husband, John.

Pat and John resided in the Bronx, NY after they were married. They had two children, son John Jr. and daughter, Susanne. The family moved to Pat's hometown of Scarsdale, NY in 1972, where she served as a librarian at two of the town's elementary schools over the years. She was a devoted parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary, singing in the church choir for nearly two decades. Pat was also a member and President of St. Veronica's Guild, a Catholic charity that organized fundraisers for the less fortunate.

Pat moved to Heritage Village in Southbury, CT in 1993 where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was an active volunteer in the community, particularly helping elderly residents. Pat worshiped at the Sacred Heart Church, where she also sang in the choir until she was 80 years old.

Pat is survived by: son John Coulter (Dana); daughter Susanne Coulter Smith (Charles); grandchildren Pierce Smith, Emily Smith, Grayson Smith, Quinn Coulter, Brian Coulter and many loving nieces and nephews. She will be buried in a private ceremony at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. The Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
