Kathleen A. Padula

Kathleen A. Padula, 75, departed this life on June 26, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born in Waterbury, CT on April 11, 1945 to the late Michael J. and Angelina (Visconti) Norton.

She was a lifelong learner and earned a Bachelors in Nursing, Bachelors in Social Work, Masters in Social Work, Masters of Psychology, and was a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and her hobbies included reading, photography, and collecting various lighthouses, hot air balloons, and crystal figurines. Most importantly was the time she spent with her family, since her loving family was the center of her universe.

She leaves three children, Salvatore Padula and his spouse Christina of Oceanside, CA, Chris Padula and his spouse Danah of Southbury, and Catherine Padula Sauli of Southbury; a sister Ann Milligan of Wilkes Barre, PA a brother Robert Norton of Watertown; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her dog Tanner who was a loyal companion. She is pre-deceased by a sister Helen Trasciatti of Plains, PA, a brother Michael Norton Jr. of Waterbury, and a brother William Norton of Prospect.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury. Interment will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. The family will receive visitors prior to mass on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. South, Southbury.
