Franca C. DeAngelis

NEWTOWN - Franca DeAngelis, 91, passed away on February 1, 2023. She was the loving wife of Giorgio DeAngelis for forty years. 

Franca was born on June 29, 1931 in Lucca, Italy to the late Arturo Catelli and Ines Lombardi. 

She started her career as an assembly line worker, and went on to work for thirty years. An unparalleled work ethic and strong personal values made her a valued and trusted employee wherever she worked.

Franca had a passion for cooking, and for always making her guests feel welcome in her home.  Nothing made her happier than having family and friends huddled around a dinner table spread that she had prepared for them. 

She is survived by her sons, Luigi and Marco, her daughters-in-law, Peggy and Cheryl, her granddaughters, Ariana and Sasha, her grandson, Max, and her great granddaughters, Mila and Ani.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Mary Church, 26 Dodgingtown Rd in Bethel, CT.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 208 S Main St in Newtown, CT.
