It is with very profound sadness that the family of Mrs. Katherine Anne Pavone, née Hanulec announces her passing after a brief illness on the early morning of May 19th, 2020, at the age of 74.
Katherine passed away under attentive care and comfortably at Griffin Hospital in Derby, Connecticut. She will be remembered lovingly by her family: her brother Stephen Hanulec, his wife Linda and their children Stephen, Lana and Molly, as well as her nephew, Michael Blomgren, his wife Tracey and their son Matthew.
Close family knew that her wish, when it was time, was to join her beloved husband Vincent James Pavone in eternity under the watchful care of a deity that gave her and Vincent a blessed life. Their forty-eight years together was an unmatched love affair and a successful partnership.
A graduate of East Brunswick High School, Class of '64, her vocation was office management, and she was appreciated for her intelligence, accuracy, and attention to detail. Her skills and dedication to the task at hand made her a valuable addition to any team.
Katherine was an individual who was universally loved - she was generous to a fault, and was always ready to assist a friend in need. A talented host, her home was always open to guests, who could expect a warmly enjoyable experience. Active for many years as a parishioner in her church, Sacred Heart in Southbury, her life, full of love, kindness and humor will be celebrated with a Mass of Christain Burial in September.
In the words of Walt Whitman one of her favorite poets: "I do not think Life provides for all and for Time and Space, but I believe Heavenly Death provides for all." To leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.CarpinoCares.com.
